Namrita Narula
Where she worked: I interned as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley in the Consumer Retail Group.
What she learned: You’re capable of so much more than you think – don’t be afraid of challenge, get excited about it!
Favorite activity she did: Exploring the East Coast with friends (my first summer here!)
Favorite food she ate: Every carb and ice cream scoop in NYC
What she’s most excited about this year: Welcoming new WW members, creating more memories with returning members, and having the best senior year!
Allie Dao
Where she worked: Through Penn's Global Research Internship Program (GRIP), I worked as a business strategy intern for Australian e-commerce company Spend With Us. Unfortunately we could not travel to Australia due to Covid restrictions, so I completed the internship remotely.
What she learned: The importance of not only setting goals, but writing them down. I made a list of tasks I wanted to accomplish at the beginning of the summer (academic, professional, and just fun activities I wanted to do), which has helped me stay accountable and allowed me to keep track of my progress, something especially helpful when doing a completely remote internship.
Favorite activity she did: My friends and I took a road trip up the coast of California to the Redwood National Forest and Mendocino.
Favorite food she ate: Acai bowl and macadamia nut latte from Island Vintage (my fav cafe ever) in Hawaii!
What she’s most excited about this year: Hopefully in person classes and Wharton Women events!
Reeya Patolawala
Where she worked: I worked at EY as a business valuation intern.
What she learned: That turning 20 still won't stop me from rewatching Disney shows
Favorite activity she did: Spent a few days with a bunch of friends at a lake-house in Michigan.
Favorite food she ate: Chicago's famous Rainbow Cone or any Italian restaurant in NYC
What she’s most excited about this year: In-person dance practices, Wharton Women events, and dinners in Center City!
Shreya Mehta
Where she worked: I worked as a marketing intern for a social media marketing company, Delaware ShoutOut, and a Philly-based skincare company, Nayko Naturals.
What she learned: I learned to spend my time doing what I enjoy because it's not going to come back!
Favorite activity she did: Visited Philly with friends
Favorite food she ate: Cookie Monster ice cream!
What she’s most excited about this year: Seeing my friends, attending class in-person, and meeting new people
Eunice Chong
Where she worked: I was a social media marketing intern for Bowerbird Jewels, based in Australia. I designed a lot of their Instagram content and helped create the influencer partnership program!
What she learned: Learned new Australian lingo
Favorite activity she did: I went to Korea for 3 weeks and was able to go water skiing, paragliding, and free diving!
Favorite food she ate: Anything I ate from Korea - such good eats
What she’s most excited about this year: Seeing everyone again and having in person classes!!
Carson Abt
Where she worked: I was an accounting intern at MSD Partners, Michael Dell's family investment office turned hedge fund.
What she learned: Working out is more fun with friends, especially jogging.
Favorite activity she did: I went on a cross country road trip with my family to hike in National Parks.
Favorite food she ate: Cheesecake from Fogo de Chao in New York
What she’s most excited about this year: Participating in in-person performing arts
Carolyn Canavan
Where she worked: I worked on the Compliance team at a private equity firm in their NYC office. I ensured that the firm and all of its funds aligned with SEC and global regulations!
What she learned: I learned more about Philly since I've been here for a large part of the summer. Between restaurants and different neighborhoods, I appreciated having more time to explore the city.
Favorite activity she did: I traveled a lot with friends and family. Some of my favorite places were Dallas, NYC, Nantucket, and back home to Connecticut!
Favorite food she ate: This summer I discovered Trader Joes takis and I've been obsessed.
What she’s most excited about this year: I am most excited to take classes in person again and live in a house with my close friends!
Joyce Guo
Where she worked: I worked as a Summer Analyst at a wealth management firm called Jordan Park.
What she learned: Your career and life journey probably won't be linear, but it will all work out with a good mindset and hard work.
Favorite activity she did: I loved being able to explore different cities with friends!
Favorite food she ate: Too many açaí bowls
What she’s most excited about this year: Catching up with friends, meeting new people, and being independent!
Kaylee Tao
Where she worked: Moelis
What she learned: Lots of Excel shortcuts and that lemons are not naturally occuring
Favorite activity she did: Living in NYC and having the best summer
Favorite food she ate: BAR PITTI
What she’s most excited about this year: Being a senior and making the most of my last year
Bhavika Gummadi
Where she worked: I interned with the Client Advisory Group at PGIM Fixed Income. I worked primarily in Product Strategy for the High Yield Desk.
What she learned: Quality over quantity always!
Favorite activity she did: Spent the Fourth of July long weekend in Chicago with friends from high school
Favorite food she ate: Soup dumplings from Chinatown
What she’s most excited about this year: Exploring Philly with old friends and meeting new ones!
Caterina Hache
Where she worked: I interned at PwC/Strategy& doing strategic consulting for a consumer markets client.
What she learned: I learned how to dive (sort off… still practicing)!
Favorite activity she did: I volunteered at a non-profit organization where I got to babysit children of working moms
Favorite food she ate: I discovered my new favorite dessert (plus: it’s healthy too!). It’s called Kabalance and it’s similar to a cheesecake!
What she’s most excited about this year: I am so excited to get back to in-person classes and host some fun Wharton Women events
