Finance
The Finance Committee is responsible for organizing events and initiatives with the intention of promoting financial transparency and education in the Wharton Women community. Committee members collaborate with the Wharton Finance Department to grow the Wharton Women in Finance Speaker Series, contribute posts to the Walnut Street Journal blog, and run Saturday Skills Workshops to teach students about personal finance tips and tricks.

Ada Wang
Ada Wang (Class of 2027) is from Houston, TX and is concentrating in Finance and Marketing. In her freshman year she joined Wharton Women as part of the Annual Dinner Committee, before focusing on engagement as the 2024 VP of Membership Development. This year, she hopes to empower all Wharton Women members as the VP of Finance and leading the Finance and Investments Committee. You can find Ada bouldering in Pottruck’s rock climbing wall, baking/cooking (and/or) eating at Philly’s restaurants, working as project lead in Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, or playing board games with friends. Viktoriia Bregen
Viktoriia Bregen (Class of 2028) is from Northeast Philadelphia, originally from Western Ukraine. She’s a freshman at the Wharton School, concentrating in Finance and Behavioral Economics. Viktoriia joined the Wharton Women Finance Committee during her freshman fall and is deeply committed to advocating for financial literacy as part of her mission with the organization. She is currently a board member of the Wharton Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Group and is also involved in the Ukrainian Student Association, Penn Traditions, and the Students of Finance Chapter. Ava Frankel
Ava Frankel (Class of 2028) is from Greenwich, CT, but just moved to NYC! She is a freshman in Wharton concentrating in Finance and Business Analytics with a minor in Math. Ava joined Wharton Women her freshman fall as a Fellow and is now really excited to be joining the Finance Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Ava is involved in Penn Appétit, Wharton Hedge Fund Club, and Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club. In her free time, you can find her at Pottruck or trying new restaurants in Center City.
Gauri Gupta
Gauri Gupta (Class of 2028) is from Seattle, Washington and plans to concentrate in Finance and Management at Wharton. Gauri joined Wharton Women her freshman fall as a Fellow and is now excited to be more involved in the Finance Committee to strengthen financial literacy advocacy. Outside of Wharton Women, Gauri is also a board member for the Wharton Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Group, and is involved in Women in Consulting, Wharton Founders and Funders Association, and a Penn tour guide at Kite and Key! Iman Ilias
Iman Ilias (Class of 2026) is a junior in the Wharton School from Bethesda, Maryland concentrating in Business Economics and Public Policy with two minors in International Relations and Chinese. Iman joined Wharton Women’s finance committee in her sophomore spring and is looking forward to some great work ahead! Outside of Wharton Women, Iman is involved with Habitat for Humanity and WUPP. Lalana Karri
Lalana Karri (Class of 2026) is from Dallas, Texas and is dual concentrating in Finance and ESG. She joined Wharton Women as a part of the finance committee during her freshman year and is excited to be in a group of supportive and ambitious women who serve as excellent mentors and support. Lalana is also involved with the Turner ESG Fellows program, the SFCU, Scholars of Finance, Common Cents, teaching the Wharton Global Youth Programs’ classes, and SWS on campus. In her free time, she loves going to the gym, going on long walks, exploring the food scene in Philly especially cafes and brunch spots, interior design, as well as playing the violin! Eliana Nitkin
Eliana (Class of 2028) is a freshman from Potomac, Maryland. She plans to concentrate in Finance and minor in Chinese. Eliana joined Wharton Women’s Finance committee her freshman fall and is excited to continue her involvement this semester! Eliana looks forward to helping women within the Wharton Women community gain confidence within the finance field. Outside of Wharton Women, Eliana is a part of JHP. Kelechi Onyia
Kelechi Onyia (Class of 2028) is from New York City and plans to concentrate in Finance and minor in Computer Science. Kelechi joined Wharton Women her freshman fall as a Fellow member and is excited to further her experience in finance by joining the Finance Committee. Outside of WW, she serves as a sector lead for Black Gen Capital, leading the new cohort of Black Gen in stock pitching. She is also a dance member on Penn’s West African Dance team, Wave!
Elizabeth Segal
Elizabeth Segal (Class of 2028) is a first-year student from Brooklyn, New York, who recently moved to Westchester. She plans to major in Mathematics with a minor in Economics. Elizabeth joined Wharton Women as a Fellow in her freshman fall and is now excited to continue her involvement as a member of the Finance Committee. Passionate about education advocacy, she looks forward to promoting financial literacy within the Wharton Women community. Outside of Wharton Women, Elizabeth tutors children in West Philly through MateMates and is actively involved in JHP and the Wharton Investment & Trading Group. Kathleen Yu (Class of 2028) is from Houston, Texas and plans to concentrate in OIDD and Finance at Wharton. Kathleen joined Wharton Women her freshman fall in the Finance Committee because of her love for educational outreach. Kathleen is also part of the Wharton Women Investments Committee. Rachel Yu
Rachel Yu (Class of 2027) is a sophomore from Brooklyn, New York. She is concentrating in Finance and Real Estate at Wharton, as well as minoring in Media and Cinema Studies. She joined Wharton Women’s finance committee during the fall semester of her freshman year and is looking forward to learning more from the amazing women in the club.
