Finance

 

The Finance Committee is responsible for organizing events and initiatives with the intention of promoting financial transparency and education in the Wharton Women community. Committee members collaborate with the Wharton Finance Department to grow the Wharton Women in Finance Speaker Series, contribute posts to the Walnut Street Journal blog, and run Saturday Skills Workshops to teach students about personal finance tips and tricks.

 
 

2025 Committee

Ada Wang

Ada Wang (Class of 2027) is from Houston, TX and is concentrating in Finance and Marketing. In her freshman year she joined Wharton Women as part of the Annual Dinner Committee, before focusing on engagement as the 2024 VP of Membership Development. This year, she hopes to empower all Wharton Women members as the VP of Finance and leading the Finance and Investments Committee. You can find Ada bouldering in Pottruck’s rock climbing wall, baking/cooking (and/or) eating at Philly’s restaurants, working as project lead in Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, or playing board games with friends. Rachel Yu

Rachel Yu (Class of 2027) is from Brooklyn, New York and is dual concentrating in Finance and Real Estate at Wharton. She joined Wharton Women’s Finance Committee during the fall semester of her freshman year and is looking forward to learning more from the amazing women in the club. Rachel’s other involvements include the Student Federal Credit Union, Wharton Asia Investments, and STEP. Viktoriia Bregen

Viktoriia Bregen (Class of 2028) is from Northeast Philadelphia, originally from Western Ukraine. She’s a freshman at the Wharton School, concentrating in Finance and Strategic Management with a minor in Real Estate. Viktoriia joined the Wharton Women Finance Committee during her freshman fall and is deeply committed to advocating for financial literacy as part of her mission with the organization. She is currently a board member of the Wharton Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Group and is also involved in the Ukrainian Student Association, Wharton Cohorts, and Nonprofit Connect (Consulting). Kathleen Yu

Kathleen Yu (Class of 2028) is from Houston, Texas and plans to concentrate in OID and Finance at Wharton. Kathleen joined Wharton Women her freshman fall and is extremely excited to be involved in the Finance Committee to continue conducting educational outreach. Some of her other involvements include the Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club, Wharton Asia Investments, MUSE Consulting, and Wharton Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Club. Sydney Bianco

Sydney Bianco (Class of 2027) is from Miami, Florida and is planning on majoring in Economics and minoring in Statistics and Art History. She joined Wharton Women this fall and is very excited to meet new people, write for the Walnut Street Journal, and plan finance-related events and workshops. In addition to Wharton Women, she is involved in Penn Autism Alliance, Growth Equity at Penn, and Jewish Heritage Program. Nitika Desai

Nitika Desai (Class of 2026) is from Mumbai, India and is concentrating in Finance and Marketing. She joined Wharton Women in her sophomore fall and loves being a part of the finance committee and writing blogs for Walnut Street Journal. Nitika is also a part of MUSE and the Daily Pennslyvanian. Nitika loves staying active through running, hiking, and pilates. A passionate traveler, she’s always up for new adventures. Amy Jia

Amy Jia (Class of 2027) is from Toronto, Canada and is studying Finance, Statistics, and International Studies with a French target as a part of the Huntsman Program. She joined Wharton Women’s finance committee in the spring semester of her freshman year and loved helping make resources more accessible for women interested in the finance industry. Outside of Wharton Women, she’s also involved in WUCC, GRC, WAX, and Scholars of Finance. In her free time, she loves exploring new restaurants and cafes, going on runs, doing pilates, and traveling!
