Pro-Bono Consulting

The Pro-Bono Consulting committee provides consulting services to women-owned/women-empowering social impact businesses and nonprofit organizations. Services provided to clients include: analyzing market for competitors, strategizing business expansion through market research, branding & messaging overhaul, developing strategy for social media content, and creating marketing campaigns for new target demographics. This committee was initially created to serve organizations negatively affected by the onset of COVID-19 and has transitioned to focus on creating and sustaining growth for such organizations.

2024 Committee

Katiana Indrasasana

Katiana Indrasasana (Class of 2026) is from Jakarta, Indonesia and is concentrating in Finance and Statistics. Katiana has been a part of Wharton Women since her freshman fall, first as a member in pro bono consulting, and then as a project leader for two semesters. During this time, she’s been able to work with various clients in a wide range of industries – from skincare brands to non-profits. As the VP of Philanthropy, she seeks to continue empowering underrepresented women-owned businesses, especially those in Philadelphia. Moreover, she hopes to foster a conducive and supportive environment to help new members grow and develop critical skills. Katiana also looks forward to co-leading the 2024 Dressing for Success, one of Wharton Women’s annual cornerstone philanthropy events. Outside of Wharton Women, Katiana is involved in Wharton Asia Investments, Wharton Impact Ventures Associates, and the Indonesian cultural club – Penncasila. Soleil Krcmar

Soleil is a senior from Toronto, Canada. She is concentrating in Finance and Marketing, with a minor in Religious Studies. Soleil has been on PBC since her freshman year, and led two semesters as project leader. For her senior year, Soleil wants to continue to aid women-owned businesses in realizing their full potential, and is especially passionate about developing marketing and engagement campaigns for her clients. In her free time, Soleil loves to read, listen to music, and go thrifting around Philly.

Tei Kim

Tei Kim (Class of 2027) is from Tokyo, Japan and is pursuing a coordinated dual-degree in International Studies and Business as part of the Huntsman Program. Tei joined PBC in her freshman spring, and is eager to be contributing to a team that makes a meaningful difference for women-owned business, particularly in the local Philadelphia area. Outside of Wharton Women, Tei is involved in the Daily Pennsylvanian and research at the School of Social Policy & Practice. In her free time, Tei enjoys cooking, going on runs, and drawing.

Sonia Mehta

Sonia Mehta (Class of 2026) is a student at the School of Arts and Science pursuing a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and a minor in Russian. She joined PBC her sophomore spring and enjoys working with a team of like-minded women who have a passion for inciting positive change in local female-owned businesses. Besides PBC, Sonia is involved with Wharton Retail Consulting, The WALK Magazine, and Phi Alpha Delta.

Arianna Werkun

Arianna (Class of 2028) is from Hong Kong, Poland, and Massachusetts. She is studying business at Wharton and has a potential concentration in finance and operations, information, and decisions. Arianna joined PBC this fall and looks forward to working with talented women at Penn to support women-owned businesses in Philadelphia. Apart from Wharton Women, Arianna is a member of the Wharton Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Club, the Wharton Undergraduate Aerospace Club, and the Penn Ski and Snowboard team. Arianna likes to read, go on runs, and go to cafés with her friends in her free time.

Anisha Talreja

Anisha Talreja (Class of 2027) is from Washington D.C., and is pursuing a coordinated dual-degree in International Studies and Business as part of the Huntsman Program. She has been a part of Wharton Women since freshman year, and has enjoyed working with other women at Penn to contribute to businesses in the local Philadelphia community. Outside of Wharton Women, Anisha is involved with Wharton Undergraduates in Public Policy and Penn Atma.

Jenna Bao

Jenna is a senior from San Jose, California. She is concentrating in Finance and Operations Management. Jenna is passionate about clean beauty and women-owned ventures. She has been on PBC since her freshman spring and is excited to continue to work with local Philadelphia businesses.

Diya Mohnot

Diya is a junior from Wilmington, Delaware, studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, with a minor in Statistics. As a member of the PBC branch, she hopes to learn how to create real impact in the lives of underprivileged individuals by solving tough business-related problems, something she hopes to pursue post-graduation. Outside of Wharton Women, Diya is involved with the Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, Penn Climate Ventures, Penn Atma (a South-Asian fusion a cappella team), and Onda Latina (a Latin dance team).

Mandy Guo

Mandy Guo (Class of 2026) is a sophomore from St. Augustine, FL. She is studying Finance and Entrepreneurship and Innovation with a minor in Chinese. She joined the Wharton Women community and the PBC committee in her freshman fall semester in hopes of helping women achieve success in entrepreneurship and to just be a part of an amazing group of people at Penn. Besides Wharton Women, she is involved in Wharton Asia Exchange and Wharton STEP. In her free time, she enjoys baking, photography, and traveling the world.

Erica Park

Erica is a junior from Fairfax, Virginia. She is majoring in Cognitive Science concentrating in Computation and Cognition, and plans to minor in Statistics. Erica has been on PBC since sophomore spring and is excited to continue with her fellow PBC members. She specifically wants to continue supporting women-owned businesses that have a mission to better the lives of others. During her free time, Erica loves to dance (on PennHype), explore the city, and eat good food at restaurants.

Zahra Vakil

Zahra Vakil (Class of 2028) is a freshman from Dubai, UAE and is looking to concentrate in Finance and ESG at Wharton. Zahra joined Wharton Women this fall and is keen to immerse herself in a diverse and uplifting community as part of PBC, empowering women and helping their businesses thrive in the Philly area. Aside from Wharton Women, Zahra is a member of Violet Quaker, WITG, WUCC and debates for Penn Debate Society. In her free time, Zahra enjoys practicing table tennis trick shots, going on nature trails and baking.

Amelia Cucchiara

Amelia (Class of 2026) is from Philadelphia, PA and studies International Relations with minors in French and Spanish. She has been a part of Wharton Women since Sophomore Fall and has enjoyed collaborating with other women at Penn to support women-owned businesses in the Philadelphia community. Outside of Wharton Women, she is involved in the International Affairs Association and the Wharton Undergraduate Real Estate Club. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and running.

Adin Helfand

Adin Helfand (Class of 2026) is from Palo Alto, California, and is studying Economics with a minor in Legal Studies and History. Adin joined PBC in the spring of her Freshman year after participating on the Finance Committee because she wanted to be more engaged with her local community. In addition to Wharton Women, Adin is also involved with Consult for America, the Wharton Undergraduate Founders and Funders Association, and the Venture Lab’s VIP Practicum. In her free time, Adin enjoys hanging out with friends, doing yoga, and listening to R&B.

Elisabetta Araya

Bio: Elisabetta (Class of 2026) is from Madison, NJ and studies Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) with minors in Consumer Psychology and French. She has been a part of Wharton Women since freshman fall and has experience in both PBC and Dress for Success. Elisabetta is passionate about being a Project Leader in PBC because it allows her to uplift female business owners and support the local economy. In addition to Wharton Women, Elisabetta is the Web Editorial Director for The WALK Magazine. In her free time, she enjoys running, reformer Pilates, and listening to music and podcasts.

Maya Tahiri

Maya (Class of 2026) is from New York and studies Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) with minors in Data Science and Fine Arts. She has been a part of Wharton Women since her freshman spring and has enjoyed working alongside motivated women to support small businesses in Philadelphia as a Project Leader. In addition to Wharton Women, Maya is the VP of Consulting for Wharton Retail Club. In her free time, she enjoys painting, cooking, and listening to music.

Valentina Kafati

Valentina Kafati (Class of 2026) is from San Pedro Sula, Honduras and is pursuing a coordinated dual-degree in International Studies and Business through the Huntsman Program. Valentina joined PBC in the spring of her Freshman year after being part of the Wharton Women Fellows Program in the fall because she is eager to help women-owned businesses adopt better business strategie. Outside of Wharton Women, Valentina is the the VP of Latin American Affairs for Wharton Latino and is also involved with Hispanic Capital Group. In her free time, Valentina enjoys hanging out with friends, doing yoga, and binge-watching new TV shows!

Rhea Thakkal

Rhea Thakkal (Class of 2026) is from Hyderabad, India and is concentrating in Finance and Business Analytics at Wharton. Rhea joined PBC in the spring of her Freshman year and she’s excited to work with women entrepreneurs to help create a profound impact. Outside of Wharton Women, Rhea is involved in Penn International Impact Consulting (PIIC), Marketing Undergraduate Student Establishment (MUSE), and Wharton Investment & Trading Group (WITG). In her free time, Rhea enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and shopping.

Khwaish Lakhiani

Khwaish (Class of 2026) is from Dubai and is pursuing concentrations in Finance and Statistics at Wharton. She joined Wharton Women her freshman fall semester, and has thoroughly enjoyed working with such a talented and diverse cohort of women to make a tangible impact on women-owned businesses in Philadelphia. Outside of Wharton Women she is involved in 180 Degrees Consulting and Violet Quaker. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants in Philadelphia, cooking, and listening to music.

Devanshi Kothari

Devanshi Kothari (Class of 2026) is from Naperville, IL (suburb of Chicago) and is studying Computer Science and Economics in Penn Engineering. She has been a part of the Wharton Women community since her freshman year, with experience in both Dollar Scholars and PBC. Devanshi is eager to contribute to a community that shares common passions for outreach, social impact, and empowering women. In addition to Wharton Women, Devanshi is involved in the Society of Women Engineers, Women in Computer Science, Penn Raas, and is a TA for CIS 1200. In her free time, she loves going on runs with friends, watching movies, playing tennis, and exploring new restaurants.

Lina Yang

Lina Yang (Class of 2028) is from Rochester, NY, and is pursuing a business major with a minor in computer science. She joined PBC this past fall and is looking forward to being part of the committee’s community and collaborating with local organizations. In addition to her involvement with Wharton Women, she is a member of the Chinese Students’ Association and the Penn Symphony Orchestra. Outside of school, she enjoys doing her nails, cafe hopping, and driving around her hometown.

Rashmi Admala

Rashmi Admala (Class of 2027) is a freshman from Northern Virginia. She plans to concentrate in Finance and Strategic Management. Rashmi is passionate about social impact and nonprofit work, and she is thrilled to work at their intersection to help the Philly community through PBC. She is also so excited to join this community of empowering business women! Outside of Wharton Women, Rashmi is involved in WUCC, STEP, and Peer Mentoring. In her free time, Rashmi enjoys making Spotify playlists, playing badminton, and trying new foods!

Olivia Yang

Olivia Yang (Class of 2027) is a freshman from Austin, Texas. She plans to study Finance and Business Analytics. Outside of Wharton Women, Olivia is involved with the West Philadelphia Tutoring Program. During her free time, Olivia enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and baking!

Penelope Larkin

Penelope Larkin (Class of 2027) is from New York City, and is pursuing a coordinated dual-degree in Computer Science and Business as part of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology. Outside of Wharton Women, Penelope is involved in Penn Undergraduate Capital Partners, the Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board, Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club, and Soundworks Tap Factory dance group. In her free time, Penelope enjoys tap dancing, skiing, and eating pancakes.

Janet Fu

Janet Fu (Class of 2027) is from Fayetteville, Arkansas and is planning on concentrating in Behavioral Economics and Finance. She is interested in studying the causes and effects of gender inequality in unpaid labor on the global scale. In addition to PBC, Janet is on the Penn Sailing Team and involved with WALK Fashion Magazine, Stimulus Children’s Theater, and Penn Climate Ventures on campus. Back in Fayetteville, you can usually find her reading, baking black bean brownies, exploring the outdoors, or making kombucha.

Amelie Zhang

Bio: Amelie Zhang (Class of 2027) is from New York City and Hong Kong, and is pursuing a coordinated dual-degree in International Studies and Business as part of the Huntsman Program. Amelie joined PBC in her freshman fall, and is excited to be part of a team that creates tangible impact for local women-owned organizations. Outside of Wharton Women, Amelie is involved with Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club and the Wharton Undergraduate Venture Group. In her free time, Amelie enjoys taking long walks, cooking with friends, and shopping.

Anika Bastin

Anika Bastin (Class of 2027) is from Fremont, California and is planning on concentrating in Finance with a math minor. She is excited to work with and empower local women-owned businesses with Wharton Women and PBC. At Penn, Anika is also a consultant with the Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club and Consult for America, in Venture Capital Research at the Wharton Undergraduate Venture Group, and an Investment Associate under the Wharton Impact Venture Associate program. In her free time, she loves spending time with her dog, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Joaquina Mendive

Joaquina Mendive is a freshman from Greenwich, Connecticut, and is pursuing a dual-degree in International Studies and Business through the Huntsman Program. She is excited to be part of the empowering Wharton Women and PBC community through supporting women-owned businesses in the Philadelphia area. At Penn, Joaquina is also involved in Wharton Latino and Quaker Notes. In her free time, she loves listening to music, watching movies, reading, spending time with friends and family, and cooking.

Stephanie Shen

Stephanie Shen (Class of 2027) is from Queens, New York. She plans to concentrate in finance and accounting and explore her interest in computer science. In joining the Wharton Women PBC committee freshman fall, she strives to learn from and become the Wharton women mentors she has had and cooperate with social impact businesses and nonprofits to empower women in business. Outside of Wharton Women, Stephanie is also part of the WITG CR team. She is a huge Chinese food and roller coaster enthusiast, and she loves traveling and spending time in nature.

Erin Hong

Erin Hong (Class of 2026) is from Seoul, South Korea and Tenafly, New Jersey studying PPE with a minor in French and Data Science. She joined the PBC branch in Wharton Women in hopes to support women-owned businesses and get to know other consultants in the Wharton Women community. Outside of Wharton Women, Erin is involved in Common Cents, the Daily Pennsylvanian, and the Wharton Korea Undergraduate Business Society. In her free time, she loves napping, eating, and spending time with friends!

Naina Lalchandani

Naina Lalchandani (Class of 2027) is from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is pursuing a degree in Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is excited to create real impact in the greater Philadelphia community through consulting for women-owned businesses. Outside of Wharton Women, Naina is also involved in the Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, Consult for America, and the Penn Period Project. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, playing tennis, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends!

Jianwei Li

Jianwei Li is a freshman from Philadelphia, PA, hoping to concentrate in Healthcare Management and Policy. She is passionate about gender equality and women’s empowerment, as well as helping local businesses grow. As a PBC member, she is able to intersect two fields of interests and make a difference in the city that she loves. Outside of Wharton Women, Jianwei is involved in Wharton Council, Joseph Wharton Scholars Program, and Venus Ultimate Frisbee.

Aarsha Shah

Aarsha Shah (Class of 2026) is from Bridgewater, New Jersey studying finance and biology. She joined PBC to help support women-owned ventures and to be part of the incredibly supportive Wharton Women community. Outside of Wharton Women, Aarsha is also involved in the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club, Wharton Cohorts, and Penn Raas. Ria Patel

Ria Patel is a freshman from Elk Grove Village, IL (a suburb of Chicago). She is excited to join Wharton Women to become a part of a tight knit community that uplifts and empowers women in business. In her free time, she likes to go to the gym, watch Netflix, and spend time with friends.
